Your serviceable market is the base level criteria an account must meet in order to be considered for your account list. Your SAM defines which accounts we surface in your discover tab. We also mark any accounts from your CRM as either in SAM or not in SAM in the Account status field. The Serviceable Market (SAM) definition is set under the market tab by clicking serviceable market as shown here:

Edit your serviceable market (SAM) definition:

To edit your SAM definition, click market > Serviceable Market. From there you’ll be able to adjust the definition for your SAM.

There are several components to the SAM definition:

  • Choose your audience: B2B, B2C, or Both

  • Choose select industries to focus on. The full list can be found here

    • You can also choose to exclude certain categories

  • Set your employee min and max

  • Choose select locations (either offices or HQ)

  • Choose any specific technologies or signals you want to filter (for example, if you only want accounts using Salesforce, add that as a filter)

We highly suggest keeping your SAM definition as broad as possible. Your discover tab will be sorted by highest fit based on your scoring model, and keeping the definition broad saves you the time of having to frequently update your SAM.
