Intent Scoring & Signals

Intent Scoring brings a second dimension to your account selection. While Keyplay has always provided rich ICP fit data, Intent Scoring & Signals add the timing and engagement dimension to your segmentation, prioritization, and target list building.

Overview

When you log into Keyplay and navigate to My Accounts, you'll see two new columns: Intent Score and Intent Signals. This help guide walks through the setup. And here's a 2-minute video tour:

Philosophically, this add another key dimension to your account selection process:

Keyplay will aggregate your intent sources on the account level for flexible scoring and enrichment. With this you you could filter to A and B tier accounts that have recently show intent (visited key website pages, signed up for events, etc), giving you a tight target list for a micro campaign or ad campaign focused on accounts already familiar with your product.

Getting Started with Intent

To set up Intent Scoring, you'll configure two things:

  1. Integrations – Connect your intent data sources

  2. Intent Model – Define how signals are weighted and how tiers are set

Start by navigating to your Integrations page to connect your intent sources.

Setting Up Intent Sources / Integrations

Web Intent (Recommended First Step)

Web Intent uses the Keyplay tag on your website to identify accounts visiting your website and creates signals for key pages.

To set up Web Intent:

  1. Go to Integrations and find the Web Intent option

  2. Click Copy to get your tracking tag

  3. Add the tag to your Tag Manager or directly in the <head> section of your website

  4. Verify the tracking tag is working.

Once installed, Keyplay will start identifying accounts that visit your website and matching them to your Keyplay accounts. When you onboard, key pages are automatically generated—but you can always add more pages that matter to your business.

LinkedIn Ads Integration

Connect your LinkedIn advertising data to capture engagement signals.

To set up LinkedIn Ads:

  1. Go to Integrations and find LinkedIn Ads

  2. Click Connect to authenticate via OAuth

  3. Select your ad account

This integration captures clicks, reactions, and impressions from your LinkedIn campaigns.

API Integration

With the API you can send in additional intent sources via the Keyplay API. For example, you might have events like:

  • Event registrations

  • Free sign ups

  • Resource downloads

  • Organic LinkedIn engagement

If you'd like to set this up, check out our technical documentation in the help docs.

Building Your Intent Model

Once your integrations are connected, head to your Intent Model to configure how signals are scored.

Keyplay takes a white box approach to intent scoring—you control everything:

  • Tier thresholds – Define what score ranges map to each tier

  • Signal selection – Choose which intent signals to include

  • Signal weights – Adjust how much each signal contributes to the overall score

For example, your model might include:

  • Web Intent – Accounts visiting key pages on your website

  • LinkedIn Ads – Clicks, reactions, and impressions

  • API sources – Custom intent data you pass in (for us this is organic LinkedIn engagement, free sign-ups, event registrations, and demo requests)

Using Intent Data

All intent data flows into your My Accounts view and can be:

  • Filtered and sorted alongside fit data

  • Synced to Salesforce or HubSpot as enrichment fields

  • Used to build highly targeted account lists

Combine Intent Score with your existing ICP tiers to find accounts that are both a great fit and actively engaged.

Beta & Pricing

Intent Scoring is currently in beta as we finalize the pricing model. During the beta period, all accounts receive 1,000 matched accounts per month.

As you use the feature, we'd love your feedback to help us continue evolving the product.
